This important collection of anti-slavery and emancipation material contains many unique and rare manuscripts and printed items. The records of the Glasgow emancipation Society are very full; they include: Minute books (1833 – 1875), cash books (1833 – 1876), subscription book (1833), and thirteen volumes of printed annual reports (1833 – 1851).
