The Catholic Herald 1888 – 1995
For over a century, the Catholic Herald has been among the most respected religious journals in the world. It acts both as a forum for discussion of all aspects of the Catholic faith, and as a chronicle of world affairs in general. Founded in Ireland by Charles Diamond, the paper has always advocated social reform as well as moral principles. Today it represents the progressive trend in Catholic thinking and therefore will be of great interest to students of comparative religion and social history, as well as Catholicism.
