The Extel Records: Archives Of The Exchange Telegraph Co. 1872 – 1966
The Exchange Telegraph Co Ltd. was incorporated in March 1872 to transmit business intelligence from stock or commercial exchanges and offices of the company to subscribers. In the same year the first service, the financial service, began and in 1874 a system whereby firms could send messages to the floor of the Stock Exchange was introduced. Later Parliamentary, News and Sporting services were introduced. Here are just a few examples of what each part consists of:
- Part A includes: Operating Agreements, Board and AMG minutes etc.
- Part B includes: Statements of Accounts, Law service statements etc.
- Part C includes: Reports of court cases, wage negotiations etc.
